Panchasara Parshvanath Jain Derasar, Patan:

Panchasara Parshvanath Jain derasar is the oldest and main jain temple in Patan. Except derasar, there are more than 100 jain temples in Patan city. Panchasara Derasar is world famous among the jain community. It is situated in the epicenter of patan city and also a remainder about Patan’s vital role during the Solanki era.  The art and carving in the walls of the temple are fascinating. These temples are fine example of ancient architecture following the principles of devotion, divinity and craftsmanship.

How to reach Panchasara Parshvanath Jain Derasar?

The temple is in the centre of patan city. You can reach the destination through may ways. From Ahmedabad it is 3.5 hours journey and from Mehsana the approximate time to reach temple is arounf 1 hour. If you want to go by train then Patan railway station is the nearest from the temple and then the mehsana railway station.

Chudel Maa Temple, Kungher:

The temple of Chudel Maa is situated in village kungher which is 10 km away from Patan, Gujarat. In this temple there is a 73 feet long statue which is very famous. Peoples come from different places, gather to worship chudel maa and lord shiva. In English the meaning of “CHUDEL” is “the witch”. There is no particular idol inside the temple but only a flame which is burning since then. There is no worshipper or no puffer to vow or take religious promise in the temple. People just go there with their complaints and then goddess justifies and so the place got a second name “The High court of Kungher”. The temple is famous for people who find their problems get sorted quickly as they visit here. In Kungher, she is known as the Adyashakti of Kalyug and is the first shakti present in a form of flame there.

History of Chudel Maa Temple

Raychandbhai Patel built this place 250 years ago in the southern part of kungher. People their say that there was a girl in the village who climbed up in tamarid tree to plug fruit but slipped in a well under the tree. She died inside the well. Later, a bridegroom’s doli was crossing its path near the well. The spirit of girl got in to the bride. And since then, this little girl’s spirit was transferred in a flame. Accordingly, a family of village lost their pan and buffalo in loot and the goddess gave a real judgment to them. Since then the goddess is known as the high court of kungher. Due to the inspiration and devotion this place is renowned all over Gujarat.

Food and Accommodation

Earlier, there was no accommodation facility in the temple but in the past years these facilities are provided inside the temple. There is a spacious parking area with guest house for stay. Food is also provided in BHOJNALAY (place to where food is served) in the temple. The price of coupons for food is around Rs.30. The temple is run by trust. People of kugher village do a superb management. They always give priority to hygienic measures.

How to reach?

By road: – It is in village Kungher, 10 km away from Patan, Gujarat. Public transport is available which can take you to Patan.

By Train: – Patan railway station is the nearest and then the mehsana railway station which is 46 km away from temple.

By Air: – Ahmedabad airport is the nearest airport in a distance of 117km.
