Career Options after 12th (HSC) in India

In a country like India it is expected that one should choose an appropriate field which generates a profession that is both respectable and lucrative in nature at a tender age ranging from fourteen to sixteen years, the choice can be made through various means viz. personal preference/interest, parents’ discretion, career counselling, grades in the former class, peer pressure, and the list goes on. Every individual can be categorized under two types- one having clarity since the beginning, and the other one are confused with what to choose or the choice so made was meant for them in the first place, or there is a possibility of the third category known as the “jo hoga dekha jayega” crowd.

We know about the best possible careers which might initially cost us a good fortune and later pay us double the amount, but is it always about the monetary aspect or it is about what makes an individual happy at the end of the day. One may or may not be satisfied, the selection of field after 12th exam which was earlier thought to be pastured may now seem barren. At such times explore the possibilities and to avoid such times in future reread the former part of this sentence.
